Seitel Field Trips

The G&G Society has been invited by Seitel to attend field trips to their new locations in Bryan/College Station. If you are interested in attending a field trip, please fill out the information below. All information will be used to by the society only, and will be used to fill out necessary forms to attend the field trip. If you would like to attend more than one trip, please add that in the "Additional Comments" section.

Description of the different field trip options:

1. Trip to permit office - Learn about how permitting works as it relates to seismic acquisition. This may take from an hour to a half day, depending on how much detailed information we want to know. Office is located in Bryan. Approximate date of trip: April 12, 2014  10:00 a.m.

2. Observation of seismic source (vibroseis trucks) - See vibroseis trucks in action in the field. Vibroseis trucks, also known as "thumper trucks", vibrate the ground so that seismic waves are generated. Approximate date of trip: April-May.

3. Observation of seismic source (TNT) - See how TNT is used to generate seiemic waves. Approximate date of trip: April-May.
